DDI uses a term called assistance level requirements to describe the amount of assistance needed for a disabled person in different situations. We also use this measurement to estimate the amount of assistants needed to use a dive center and facilities for disabilities that usually requires assistants. The following table gives a quick description of the different assistance levels.

| Level 0 (very good) | Full wheel chair and disabled user access with very few exceptions |
| Level 1 (normal) | Normal access with some possible exceptions requireing assistance |
| Level 2 (limited) | Limited access with possible obstacles and limitations requireing multiple assistants to overcome |
