Four Weeks Working For The DDI

Since the founding of DDI I have followed the development and process establishing the organisation on the sideline with great interest. As a former colleague of Flemming Thyge and working as a Diversity Management Consultant with development assignments in the educational sector and as a projectleader of a Knowledge Center for Better Education of Bilingual Students in the VET-schools in Denmark, Flemming has often used me as a mirror to his ideas about founding The DDI during the years. Ideas , values and realized business areas that I both professionally and personally found – and still find - an interest in.

Successful 1st NO BARRIER TOUR in Catalonia

On February 17th it took place the first DDI (Disabled Divers International), No Barrier Tour, in Vilassar de Mar (Barcelona), Catalonia. The event was developed in an entertaining environment, with a lot of participation. A part of DDI staff, there were 15 people following the event,  participants, family and interested people.

The program was divided into two main parts:

A.- We made the presentation of the DDI  Foundation and the activity that we are developing in Catalonia.

**  After it we took a break with a fantastic breakfast: typical bread with tomato and sausage.

B.- Afterwards, we start practicising exercises in the pool. Surface and underwater exercises.

Just completed the DDI Assistant Instructor

I have just completed the DDI assistant instructor programme with my good friend Chris Hazlehurst in Malta.

As a sufferer or fibromyalgia I have suffered for years with great pain throughout my body, an invisible disability of which people, do not understand and hence friends and colleagues assume I was just “winging” and “attention seeking”.
