For the second year DDI Portugal took part in the Adapted Olympics that APEXA, Support Association for Outstanding Person of the Algarve, organized in Albufeira, Algarve. 

On the morning of friday, 11 of october, a NBT took place at the Municipal Swimming Pool with the support of uDIVING (DDI Dive Center). Several people with physical and mental challenge have experienced scuba diving.

At the end, the family photo shows the happiness and the good mood of the group. "I have never experienced anything so good in my life " was the testimony of one of the participants, a man that already lived 60 years...

In the afternoon , Vanda Pinto and Paulo Guerreiro spoke to an audience of about 100 people about DDI and the work that is being done in Portugal. In this session, some portuguese Paralympic champions also gave their testimonies. That was a good opportunity for DDI to make contact with paralympics and they have demonstrated great interest to do a NBT with DDI. 

It was gratifying to be at this event and DDI Portugal would like to salute the work of APEXA, where Renato Frazão and Ana Santinhos are the main organizers. Thank you for the invitation, DDI will always be available to APEXA. We can only say, see you in the next dive!!
