Pro-training Germany
Happy faces: two new DDI Instructors (Thomas & Xenia) and one new Staff Instructor (Alex) were presented their certificates by DDI Instructor Trainer Examinator Flemming - who was also happy to welcome new members to the DDI family!
This was well deserved after a great weekend of
hard work! The DDI instructor candidates looked into lots of academics and learned a great deal about different types of disabilities. After the classroom it was pool time! The inwater workshop was a clear eye-opener for everyone -
including blind diving!
No pun intended! The rookies got an idea how it feels to dive blindly - but most importantly they developed a firm understanding of how to guide and communicate with someone blind underwater. After learning some lifting techniques to help disabled divers exit the water, it was time for another classroom session! On day three of the DDI pro course it was exam time - the candidates passed with a 100% score! Excellent! The last stop for this weekend was the open water workshop at the Hegbachsee (about 15km west of the Frankfurt airport) discussing access points and facilities for disabled divers. The weekend flew by in no time - everyone had great fun! A fantastic kickoff for DDI in Germany!
