The 3rd Anniversary of DDI - Disabled Divers International, an organization that is dedicated to scuba diving following the slogan "Diving for All," will take place on 22nd and 23rd of June, in Tavira.

The headquartered is in Denmark but DDI also to operates in Portugal, conducting activities that promotes diving for people with disabilities, "aiming at social inclusion and physical and psychological rehabilitation."

According to information sent to Singular & Plural, this organization will celebrate its anniversary with several activities in Barril Beach, Tavira, with the collaboration of the Portuguese Sports Federation for Persons with Disabilities.  

One goal is "to show the potential of Barril Beachl as a future project in the area of Accessible Tourism".

The anniversary program includes demonstrations of diving and diving baptism, workshops and trainings.

Other important notes about DDI Portugal: the instructors are spread throughout the country (Peniche, Almada, Lisbon, Loures, Alvor, Aveiro, Caldas da Rainha, Faro, Funchal, Barreiro, Matosinhos, Porto Covo, Lagos, Sesimbra, Portimão, Porto Santo, Olhão, among other cities), and DDI centers exist in various locations in Portugal (Peniche, Faro, Sesimbra, Porto Covo, Porto Santo and Tavira).
